            THE 2014 AWS WELDING EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND
            CERTIFICATION CONFERENCE

            On  July  25th,  2014  Scott  Mazzulla,  President/CEO
            of  Hobart  Institute  of  Welding  Technology  was
            invited  by  the American  Welding  Society  to  speak
            at their Welding Education, Skills, and Certification
            Conference in regards to the perspective of HIWT and
            its role in the industry.  The event was held at Ivy Tech
            Community College, Indianapolis, from July 23rd to
            July 25th.

            Scott covered several topics including certifications,
            updating  curriculum,  planning,  post-secondary
            education,  training/hiring veterans, and the reasons
            for HIWT’s success.  His presentation  sparked

            Scott was asked about the role of HIWT in the industry
            and how it creates awareness.
