Technology has trained well over
100,000 welders. Students come
to us from all walks of life, all
socioeconomic backgrounds, from
all over the world, with one goal in
mind become the best welder they
can be. Here at HIWT, we like to
say we are training the Worlds Best
Welders.
Our programs are either 23 or 38 Tom Crawford with his evening shift class
weeks in length. During that time, we
get to know our students, and they
become family to us, as well as to each other. Tom Crawford is one of our evening shift welding instructors.
He has been with HIWT since 1982, so it is safe to say he has seen a lot of students in his time here. Tom
recently came to me about the class he has that is graduating soon. He talked about the comradery they
have with each other as well as the instructors; how they have really become family, supporting each other,
helping each other and truly caring about each other. I spoke with a couple of those students who told me that
their experience here has been amazing and that Tom, who they have had for several classes, is da bomb.
They talked about how their class has really connected with each other and they hoped to stay in contact
after graduating and going their separate ways. Their time here at HIWT is quickly coming to an end but
the connections they have made will last forever. We wish them, and all of our graduates, success in their
careers.
