NATIONAL MANUFACTURING DAY 2014
HIWT celebrated National
Manufacturing Day on October
3 with 50 students from Troy
High School as well as several
members from the Troy Area
Chamber of Commerce. All
of the students are members
of the business club and were
eager to learn more about the
manufacturing industry.
The students spent the day
touring Hobart Institute and
learning about the many
manufacturing facilities located throughout Troy, Ohio. The two groups of students that visited HIWT spent the day discussing
the welding industry and the programs offered at HIWT. The students were surprised how lucrative the welding industry can be
and what a short amount of time is required to learn to weld at HIWT.
