Hobart Institute receives an incredible amount of feedback from the welding industry.
Mostly its suggestions and reminders on how well we do, and how well we dont do. The
feedback comes from hand written letters, social media posts, phone messages, student
evaluations, emails, and at times, great people just simply stop by the school to express
themselves.
We value each and every comment we receive as thats a core way for the Institute to
improve, so we must always be looking for ways to deliver a world class education.
One particular group of reviews stands out, and thats the constant feedback received
By Scott A. Mazzulla, President from our alumni base which is over 100,000 strong. It is a daily reminder to me how
Hobart Institute of Welding Technology much this Institute impacts the lives of all that attend. I wanted to share some incredible
comments:
Just wanted to say that today July 10th, 2018 is the anniversary of my starting date at the Hobart School in 1967. I attended
at Vero Beach. I suppose there are not many folks left from back then. It was one of the better decisions I made in my career.
So thanks to all the people I got to know at the school over the years, and to anyone thinking about attending, go for it.
Welding is great. HIWT Alumni Andy
I owe much of my professional success to this school. I cannot recommend the school enough, worth every penny.

Hobart is one of the best experiences and training Ive ever had. I got the Howard Cary scholarship in 2008 and I am and
always will be greatly appreciative to be chosen for the award. Hobart truly changed my life around. I will always attribute my
success of my company to Hobart. Best of luck to the future welders! Alum Facebook
Currently taking the CWI seminar with others from across the country.
I am absolutely overwhelmed as are my much more experienced
classmates, but if not for what Elmer and Russ have done to ready us,
I could easily see me only getting maybe 25% on the fnal exam. I was
told by two other CWIs that if I have any chance of passing my frst
time, I had to take the Hobart Institute seminar. With what Ive seen
thus far, THEY WERE RIGHT! Thanks for the help, Hobart Institute!

Being an alumni myself, I can directly relate to the impact the Institute has made
on my life. Even today when people ask where I went to school I tell them it all
started at Hobart Institute of Welding Technology. If you graduated from our
programs between the years 1930-2018, you can certainly relate.
With all the great comments, we certainly get our share of negative comments,
and we welcome those expressions. Common dings are overpriced, dont
care, in it for the money, bad attitudes and overrated to mention a few. By
comparisons to many other school reviews, we all share those common themes.
In response our goal is not to prove anyone wrong, but to read, listen, learn and
act to improve. We take pride in our relationships with the ACCSC www.accsc.org
and Department of Education www.education.ohio.gov . We make every attempt
to make sure this school stays relevant with industry demands, is affordable,
compliant and safe for everyone who wishes to attend.
