HIWT Attends Construction Career Days
Hobart Institute of Welding Technology participated in two
construction career days in Kentucky on September 12th in Murray,
KY and September 24-25 in Shelbyville, KY. Students from schools
in the state of Kentucky participated in the events, which are
designed to expose students to careers in the field of construction.
Hobart Institute participated by giving students an opportunity to
weld with a Miller AugmentedArc® Augmented Reality Welding
System which simulates real world welding in a safe and controlled
environment. Students were competing for the best scores while
speaking with HIWT staff about careers in welding and what
types of jobs await them should they decide to pursue a welding
education.
