Learning about Welding Opportunities

On March 1st, HIWT had the pleasure of
hosting Julie Noble’s class from Milton
Union High School. Mrs. Noble does a
great job exposing her students to as
many postsecondary options as she can.
We here at HIWT, were happy to be one
of those opportunities. I spoke with
her students, many whom had never
welded, and gave them information
on the school and what programs we
have to offer. We also talked about the
welding industry and the tremendous
need for welders. After a tour of the
facility, many students who had never
previously thought about welding as a
career expressed interest in attending
HIWT to get the necessary training
to become a great welder. I was very
excited that Milton’s visit had garnered
so much interest in HIWT and the
welding industry.
