             Congratulations to Max Bellinghiri from
             South Hero, VT for winning the
             Hobart Handler 125.


             All 9.5-month Combo Structural and Pipe Welding Program
             graduates and 5.5-month Structural Program graduates
             have an opportunity to win the Hobart Handler if you notify
             the Career Development team that you are employed in a
             welding related feld.  Graduates must submit all required
             information on the Occupational Graduate Employment
             Questionnaire, HIWTs employment postcard, or contact a
             Career Development team member.  This information must
             be received within 90 days of graduation to be entered in
             the drawing for the welder.
















            HIWT Participates in Capital
            Technology Days


            Scott Mazzulla, President & CEO and Chip Prinz, Director
            of Corporate Services of HIWT had the opportunity
            to participate in Capital Machines Technology Day
            in Dallas, TX on May 14  and 15 .  Scott presented

            on the shortage of welders and how to fnd them,
            stating the prediction by the American Welding
            Society of a 450,000 welder shortage by 2026 (aws.
            org).  Highlighted in the presentation included ideas
            on what it takes to attract top quality welders, how to
            keep them by comparing what employers want versus
            what employees want and defning certifed versus
            qualifed welders.  The presentation also discussed how
            welding automation needs not just good welders, but
            intelligent welders in order for companies to support
            their production mission.
            Chip will be presenting at Capital Technology Days at
            the Atlanta event on August 20-21, 2019.
