It is our pleasure to also welcome Matt Cremeans to our team as a
Skill Welding Instructor. Matt is a Troy native and his family has had a
long-standing relationship with the name Hobart. He is proud to carry
on his family’s legacy. Matt has a very diverse background and is a 2010
HIWT Combination Structural and Pipe Welding Program graduate. He
is a member of the UA and hold the status of journeyman pipefitter.
Through the UA, he has completed jobs involving piping system
repair, layout, installation, general maintenance and fabrication. His
experience and knowledge acquired over the years in pipe fitting and
welding coupled with his experience working through the UA will be
a great asset to our students interested in working for a union. In his
spare time Matt enjoys mountain biking, painting and sports.
We are pleased to announce that Craig Phillips has joined the team
as Maintenance Technician. Craig is a native of Brookville, Ohio and
currently resides there as well. Craig comes to us from Precision
Certified Welding where he was the Maintenance Technician for the
facility and the supervisor for all metal cutting operations. Craig has a
background in HVAC and plumbing that will complement our constant
maintenance needs here at the Institute. Craig enjoys spending time
with his family and rooting for the Green Bay Packers.
