“I work with a great group of teachers and students,”
Brad mentioned. “I enjoy teaching and hope to be an
instructor for many years to come.”
“From a personal standpoint, my ultimate welding goal
is to design, fabricate and weld an aluminum chassis
for a 1979 Bradley GT kit car I have had since high
school. The thing I like most about welding is that you
can always learn something more about welding and you
can always be better at it. I have also learned there is no
such thing as the ‘Perfect Bead,’” says Brad. “It’s the
challenge of trying to make a bead as close to perfect as
possible that drives me!”
Brad recently enrolled at The Ohio State University to
continue his education while teaching others.
“I know for a fact that I wouldn’t be where I am today
without the training I received at the Hobart Institute,”
Brad continues. “I enjoy teaching and hope to be an instructor for many years to come,”
says Brad DeMent.
“I have learned when employers want to hire new welders, they either look for experience or some sort of formal training.
When they see a person has gone to HIWT, employers get excited due to the reputation Hobart has to offer.”
