Old Blue Has Left The Building

Old blues fnal stop at HIWT
HIWT was some sad news to report. Our world famous bender Old
Blue was removed from the school in May. Old Blue came to HIWT
in 1975 and has been bending straps ever since.

This press was originally designed and built by Hobart Brothers
employees circa early 1930s. It was used for pressing motor stators
into the motor-housing. The motors powered DC generator welding
machines. It was also used at the welding school - until May 2015.
