The Metal Art Of Grace Cathy
by Bob Grytten
There I was,
waiting for my car
to be inspected
at Walker
Service Station,
Waynesville,
NC, sitting in the
waiting room
turned Metal Art
Gallery. It’s hard not
to be impressed.
On the wall next
to me are Items
produced by Grace
Cathey. This has
to be the ultimate
multi purpose
arrangement, an
inspiration.
Taco, our dog has found a comfortable place on a chair next to a
shiny web design metal room divider. How unique. Out the window,
next to cars waiting for service is a bright lacquered form of an item
found in nature. Down from the parking, there is another area with
Grace’s metal garden art. Metal Gates beckon one to enter. The path
winds amongst natural plants, ferns and grasses. Then in sculpture,
a metal dragon fly and butterfly round out the most interesting
scene. A once water flowing pool now houses the sculptured
semblance of a water form.
