Local 4H Group Welds Fair Projects
Hobart Institute of Welding Technology hosted three members of the Milton Union
Footprints 4H Group for a welding workshop/training day to help them fabricate
pieces to be entered into the Miami County Fair that will be held in August. Process
Lead Joshua Moniaci assisted the students as they fabricated a boot scraper and a
chipping hammer. Students were between the ages of 7 to 17 years old. "It was a
great opportunity to teach these young men about welding and how to build their 4H
projects," stated Josh. "It's an exciting chance to talk to younger people about welding
and the welding industry. They did a fantastic job and I'm interested to see how they do
at the fair!"
