                                                               Apprentices go to school one day every two weeks for 5 years.
                                                               The apprenticeship is free. A student apprentice will incur a $200
                                                               per year book cost. Apprentices will learn math, science, OSHA,
                                                               pipefitting, plumbing, crane signaling, industrial rigging, soldering,
                                                               hydraulics and more.


                                                               Every area is different when it comes to applying so check the
                                                               web for the local you are interested in. Typically, you can pick up
                                                               an application and will have two weeks to return it. Minimum
                                                               requirements for an applicant are that they are at least 18 years old
                                                               and a high school graduate or hold a GED. An applicant must also
                                                               provide the following documentation with a completed application
                                                               with a completed application: birth certificate, high school/GED and
                                                               official report of test results, social security card, driver’s license or
                                                               picture ID, military transfer or discharge form DD-214 if applicable.

                                                               and 50% on mechanical aptitude test which includes spatial
                                                               relations and manual dexterity. Testing is administered by a third
