The Sea of Blue

The 95 Annual FFA National Convention was held at the Indiana
            th
Convention Center in downtown Indianapolis on October 26 – 29,
2022. The annual event brings together FFA officials, officers and
members from all over the United States. The Mission of FFA is to
make a “positive difference in the lives of students by developing their
potential for premier leadership, personal growth and success through
       agricultural education” (convention.ffa.org).
The Career Development Team attends this event to discuss
opportunities in the field of welding and the programs offered at the
Institute. The team spoke with over 500 students during the three-
day Techspo portion of the event. Students had the opportunity to
utilize a VR Welder to get a feel for what welding would be like and
discuss the various paths welders can take in their career. “This is
one of our favorite events.” stated Jacob Rader, Career Development
Representative. “The students we meet are so polite and you can tell
they have strong character and are going to do well in their educational
       journey”.
