Hobart Institute Receives Business Excellence Award

The Troy Chamber of Commerce selects local
businesses for Business Excellence Awards
annually to recognize and honor specific
businesses that have made a significant
contribution to the overall good of the
community. This is defined by the chamber
as contribution through employment,
capital investment, philanthropy/community
involvement, aesthetic improvement, delivery
of unique or specialized products or services,
or recognition through significant business
achievement.
Hobart Institute of Welding Technology
received the Business Excellence Award
Medium Sized Business for 2022. The award
was presented at a banquet held February
24, 2022, at the Arbogast Performing Arts
Center. The banquet was well attended
by many local business leaders where
attendees were served a delicious dinner
before the presentation of awards. Scott A.
Mazzulla, President & CEO of HIWT accepted
the award for the college. “For the first
time in our 92 years, the Institute has been
formally recognized by the local community.
This is a well-deserved achievement for
the men and women of Hobart Institute of
Welding Technology who follow our mission
statement by being committed to education
excellence. The Business Excellence
award goes hand in hand with our mission
statement and the Institute is honored to
receive it.”
