HIWT visits Kennedy Tank

HIWT President & CEO Scott Mazzulla and Chad Schmelzer, Business
Development Representative visited Kennedy Tank in Indianapolis,
IN. Kennedy Tank is a 5th generation tank manufacturer and a huge
proponent of hiring our graduates. Several years ago, Patrick Kennedy
made the decision to focus on hiring Institute graduates because they
have great fundamentals that Kennedy could build upon to meet their
business demands. This has been a great partnership through the years.
During the visit, Mazzulla and Schmelzer had the opportunity to sit down
with several graduates that work for Kennedy Tank and discuss their
experience at the school and how it prepared them for jobs in industry.
Many things that were discussed have already been put into place at
the Institute and others are in process. “This meeting confirmed that
we are definitely going in the correct direction with our training”, stated
Mazzulla. “It was great seeing our graduates working in field and hearing
about their success in the welding industry.”
In addition to hiring many of our grads, Bill Kennedy, President of Kennedy
Tank is on the Institute’s Program Advisory Committee where he is able to
offer suggestions to help ensure the education continues to be relevant in
industry.
