            NEW FACES AT HOBART INSTITUTE


            CHRISTINE CRAWFORD



                                  Christine Crawford’s warm smile greets visitors as they enter the front office at Hobart Institute.  In
                                  January, Christine joined the office staff as Registrar/Bursar.

                                  A graduate of Covington (Ohio) High School, Christine has ten years of experience in secretarial
                                  capacities at Covington High School and at the Miami County Educational Services Center.

                                  “I saw that this position was open and it is a good fit for me given my previous experience,” said
                                  Christine.

                                  Christine and her husband, Scott, are the parents of two high-school aged daughters.  Christine
                                  enjoys watching their sporting events and cooking for her family.



            JASON STEWART


            The newest skill instructor on the staff at Hobart Institute is Jason Stewart.  Jason is a graduate of the
            Combination Structural and Pipe Welding Program at Hobart Institute with 18 years of experience.
            While Jason was a student at HIWT, he also received high academic honors.

            “We welcome Jason to our Hobart team and look forward to working with him,” said Ron Scott,
            HIWT Vice President and General Manager.  “He now has the opportunity to share his expertise
            with others who will benefit from his experience.”

            Jason holds several welding certifications and his previous work includes welding on aluminum,
            stainless steel, copper, and a variety of dissimilar metals using various welding processes. His work
            also included blueprint reading, plasma and oxyacetylene torch cutting, and the use of cranes, fork
            lifts, and rigging.

            In his spare time, Jason enjoys hunting and playing softball.  A graduate of Meigs High School in Pomeroy, Ohio, Jason will be
            relocating to Troy from Racine with his wife and son.

            TERRE BAILEY                                        RICHARD LAYMAN


                                   Terre  Bailey, the  friendly  face  Richard  Layman  prepared  the
                                   formerly at the front desk at  supply of metals for student
                                   Hobart Institute, is now enjoying  use, maintained  the  shipping
                                   retirement.    Terre  was hired  in  and  receiving  area,  and  for
                                   January 1980 at Hobart Brothers  years also operated  the  supply
                                   Company  and had  been  with  room for students, among many
                                   Hobart Institute as Registrar/  other maintenance tasks at the
                                   Bursar since November 1998.  Institute.  Richard joined Hobart

                                   She retired in January 2012.     Institute in December 1974 and
                                                                retired in March 2012.
